More than spaces. Experiences that last.

"Room for Art" is an art initiative by Adrian Hagenbach and Leopold Weinberg,  founders of WAC (We Are Content). Childhood friends, the two have been developing spaces that are conceived with a long-term, integrative approach to the urban environment. Among these are the boutique hotels Volkshaus in Basel and Helvetia in Zurich.

For more than 25 years, we’ve collected works to live with, not to store. Our commitment to contemporary art led us to make art more accessible and to seamlessly weave it into everyday life.The results are multiple exhibitions a year in various locations spread throughout our boutique hotels. Open to the public to enjoy, we invite visitors and guests to feel, question and connect with art directly.

Our mission is to create lively, culturally engaging, dynamic, and high-quality spaces that remain grounded and accessible. Places where everyone is welcome, where there’s no compromise on what truly matters, and where people naturally gather, linger, and feel at home.It is precisely in such places that art belongs — not confined to the sterile White Cube, but woven into everyday life.
